Workforce Strategy

The Council’s Workforce Strategy was approved in 2023 and is a key enabler of the Council Plan. It provides a framework for the future direction of our workforce to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time to support our communities. When this was approved, we gave a commitment to review this in 2024 to ensure that it remained fit for purpose, following the employee experience engagement survey.

As part of this review process, we are seeking the view of trade unions on the current Strategy. It would therefore be helpful to receive your initial feedback on this by the 3rd of September 2024. The updated Workforce Strategy will be subject to the normal consultation process.
