
Workforce Strategy Consultation
Our Workforce Strategy was approved in 2023 and is a key enabler of the Council Plan. It provides a framework for the future direction of our workforce to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time to support our communities. When this was approved, we gave a commitment to review this in 2024 to ensure that it remained fit for purpose, following the employee engagement survey and employee experience work being undertaken.
CMT and Service Management Teams have been given the opportunity to offer feedback and review the Workforce Strategy. A session was also held on Workforce Strategy with the Service Manager Group. Trade Unions were provided with an opportunity to offer feedback on the Workforce Strategy.
As a result of the workshops and review undertaken, a number of changes will be made to the statements within the strategy to better reflect the issues that we face. Information will be added on the key people priorities from the employee experience work and the Performance Indicators updated. These are noted in more detail in the attachment.
