Tenant Satisfaction Survey
Falkirk Council are carrying out their Tenant Satisfaction Survey. We are doing this because we want to hear our tenants’ views on the services we provide.
We will use this information to work towards improving the services we offer. The results will be published by the Scottish Housing Regulator in 2025, so you will be able to compare how Falkirk Council tenants feel about our services with other tenants’ social landlords’ services.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
Just so you’ll know, we have also commissioned external research professionals, Research Resource, to carry out the same survey on our behalf. Following guidance issued by the Scottish Housing Regulator, they will interview 1,000 of our tenants, face-to-face. The 1,000 tenants chosen to be part of the face-to-face survey will be randomly selected, taking account of their age, where they live, what type of property they live in etc. This will make sure the 1,000 tenants chosen, are a true representation of our tenants. If you are selected, you can help by taking a few moments to speak to the surveyor when they contact you, and by answering the questions as honestly as possible.
If you have already been contacted by Research Resource, you do not need to complete the online survey.
If you have any questions, and would like to speak to someone about the survey, you can contact Housing Services Community Engagement Team on 01324 590796, or by emailing tenant.participation@falkirk.gov.uk

Thank you for completing the Tenant Satisfaction Survey on Participate +.
The tenant satisfaction survey was carried out in 2 ways - through the online survey on Participate+ and face to face interviews carried out by an independent consultant.
There were 197 surveys completed on Participate + and 1002 face to face interviews with tenants in their own homes.
We will use both surveys to inform the Tenant and Customer Participation Strategy.
Other ways you can participate include:
- Housing Asset Management Plan – learn about the Housing Investment Programme i.e. New Builds, New Kitchens, and Bathrooms etc
- Tenants Voice – helping the tenant-led panel host meetings open to the public on housing topics
- Editorial Panel - helping the tenant-led panel produce the Tenant Talk magazine
- Service Improvement Scrutiny Group – help improve performance through scrutiny and learn about how your rent is spent
- Local Registered Tenants Organisations – these represent the views of their community on housing
- Housing Consultation Register – people on the registers have expressed interest in housing consultations
If you would like to learn more about how we manage the Housing Revenue Account budget, we will be running information sessions in 2025.
