Rent Increase Consultation (2025 – 2028)

Housing is under significant pressure to meet housing need and reduce homelessness.

The Housing service faces budget challenges due to increased constructions costs, material costs and high interest rates and borrowing costs. Therefore, the cost of delivering the Housing Investment Plan has increased during year 2024-25 and costs are projected to be higher in future years.

This consultation will enable tenants to choose their preferred rent increase option for 2025-2028.
