Private Housing Estates Maintenance Review

Falkirk Council is seeking the views of residents and stakeholders on the future of maintenance arrangements in private housing estates where Falkirk Council is not the legal landowner.

At present, the Council undertakes aspects of maintenance in these areas which include grass cutting, hedge & shrub maintenance and weed control despite having no formal ownership responsibilities.

We are now reviewing whether this practice should continue, and we want to understand the potential impacts, concerns, and priorities of those who may be affected.

For any additional information please contact grounds.maintenance@falkirk.gov.uk.
