Budget 2026-27: Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is preparing to set its annual budget for 2026/27.
Each year, we must use the money we have available to provide the health and social care services people need in Falkirk. As our population is living longer with more complex care needs, we are experiencing rising demand for support. The cost of running these services is also increasing. We want to hear your views on what we can do to meet our budget gap.

Overview
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership plans our local community services. This includes social work, care at home, mental health, general practice, learning disability support, district nursing, and alcohol and drug support services – plus many more.
We are responsible for managing the yearly budget, currently worth around £330m, to fund services from Falkirk Council, NHS Forth Valley, local organisations, and community groups.
As a result of rising costs, increased demand, and people living longer with more complex care needs, we now forecasting a £14m budget gap over the next 5 financial years. This means we must adapt services, change the way we work, and secure best value for money to ensure services can continue to operate into the future.
Take part
This consultation shows you a short summary of our proposals to help balance our budget this year. Your views will help inform the decisions made by members of our Integration Joint Board when it finalises our health and social care budget in March 2026.
Our proposals
Our survey asks for your views on two proposals. These are:
- Increase charges for several social care services. These include care at home, Falkirk Council care homes, Day Centres, and the Mobile Emergency Care Service.
- Increase the amount we charge for meals provided in our Housing with Care Service by 5%. This will apply to tenants in Dorrator Court, which is the only HwC property which offers a meal service.
All questions are optional, you can respond to as many or as few of the proposals as you wish.
