Falkirk Parking Strategy (Business Engagement)

Falkirk Council is currently developing a Parking Strategy which will seek to identify parking issues and opportunities and set out a road map for improvements across the Falkirk area, including key settlements and Falkirk town centre. We are looking to explore ways to ensure that parking supports the needs of residents, businesses and visitors while also seeking to align with local and national policies and guidelines.

We want to hear from our local businesses!

Your feedback will help us understand your parking requirements as a local business, whilst also identifying the key parking-related problems and opportunities relevant to businesses across Falkirk Council.

This engagement and consultation exercise will directly inform the development of options which form part of the Parking Strategy. The stages of the strategy development are presented below.

How to Participate:

  • Our problems and opportunities survey for local businesses (see Phase 1) will provide an opportunity to raise any parking-related problems, and suggest ideas and opportunities to improve parking throughout the Falkirk area.
  • We will be hosting in-person drop-in events in Falkirk Town Centre throughout December, where you can speak to members of the project team about parking issues.
  • There will be an opportunity to comment on the future long list of options during further phases of consultation in 2025 (see Phase 3).

We intend to share the key findings from this exercise, and outline how feedback received from businesses has informed the Parking Strategy, during future consultation phases on this page.

If you have any questions about this engagement and consultation exercise please contact us at transportplanning@falkirk.gov.uk.

We encourage you to explore this page and take part to help shape the future of parking across Falkirk!
