Camelon & Tamfourhill Masterplan

The Camelon and Tamfourhill masterplan is being prepared to guide future change in the area.

There is a lot of change happening in the area, with significant work taking place along the Forth and Clyde Canal. This includes significant regeneration around Lock 16 including the former Barrs factory and Union Inn.

The aim of the masterplan is to guide how all this activity fits together and to define what else is needed to maximise the positive impacts on local communities, Once completed the masterplan will inform Council regeneration plans and future planning policy.

The purpose of this consultation is to ask local communities what you think of the draft masterplan. It is an opportunity to influence the masterplan before it is updated and signed off by the Council’s Executive in November 2026.

You will be able to pick up the main points of the draft masterplan as you go through the survey. If you would like to see an overview of the draft masterplan, you can download this below.

The closing date for the survey is the 11th of September, after which the results will be analysed and shared, and the masterplan updated for approval by the Council’s Executive.
