Camelon Community Action Plan

The Community Planning Partnership are about to commence a Community Action Plan in the Camelon area. A community action plan (CAP) is a participatory tool that helps community members identify and address their problems, needs and potential. It also aims to encourage community involvement and management of their environment. A community action plan can include various programs and activities that are designed to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of the community.

The CAP will be developed throughout 2024 by a Working Group comprised of a mixture of community members, volunteers and professionals from statutory and third sector organisations.

Camelon Community Action Plan (CAP) - a plan shaped by you and delivered by all of us.

Over the past year, residents, groups and partners have come together to identify what matters most to Camelon. From surveys and workshops to pop-up events, your voices have helped shape this plan.

The CAP focuses on the key issues raised by local people – from improving outdoor spaces and community safety to creating more activities for young people and supporting local wellbeing.

If you live in Camelon, this is your chance to get involved, have some fun, and see how your ideas have shaped a plan to help your local area thrive.

Join us at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre on Tuesday 20 May, from 6pm to 7.30pm, for a free, family-friendly event to launch the new Camelon Community Action Plan (CAP) – a plan developed with local people, for local people.

The event begins with a short welcome and an introduction to the plan, which focuses on the priorities that matter most to the community – from safer streets and better outdoor spaces to more activities for young people and stronger support for local groups.

You’ll also find stalls from local organisations, showcasing the work already happening across the area – plus plenty to keep the kids entertained with:
