Managing Sickness Absence Policy

The Managing Sickness Absence Policy has been updated into the new Policy format and to incorporate Audit recommendations and feedback from a recent Senior Leadership workshop focussed on absence.

The changes include:

  • Inclusion of a How to Guide for Leave Abatement
  • Improved guidance on absence recording
  • Improved guidance on recording work related absence
  • How to Guides for Managing Short Term and Long Term absence
  • Guidance on how Covid Related absence should be treated for monitoring purposes
  • Inclusion of an employee contact form for recording contact with employees on long term absence
  • Introduction of a Workplace Adjustment Passport for recording agreed adjustments
