One Parent Families Scotland - Holiday Outings for Single Parent Families

Holiday outings and activities for single-parent families in rural Falkirk, helping children to build memories and families to connect and thrive.
The Braes Family Centre will deliver a programme of family outings and holiday activities for single-parent families in the rural Braes area of Falkirk. Over the school holidays, we will organise day trips, provide in-house meals, and run themed activities that bring families together to have fun, build friendships, and strengthen community connections. Many local families face barriers such as poverty, poor transport links, and social isolation, meaning children often miss out on experiences others take for granted. These outings offer vital opportunities for families to connect, relax, and make lasting memories. The project will run over the summer and school holiday periods, giving children the chance to explore new places and parents the support of a caring community. With additional funding for transport and entrance fees, we can ensure no family is left behind and every child can enjoy a memorable, inclusive holiday experience.
