Limerigg Action Group - Health and Wellbeing Room
Amount Requested: £5,000
Creating a warm safe space for our community to access and use to improve their health and wellbeing.
Having purchased Limerigg Village Hall through Community Asset Transfer, we have now embarked on the refurbishment of the hall and the facilities we can offer our community. We intend to create a health and wellbeing room that can be used for smaller meetings for groups who would be more comfortable in a smaller, more intimate setting e.g. bereavement groups, breastfeeding support/new parents, support groups in general, book club, etc.
Limerigg is an extremely isolated village so it is important to provide a warm, safe space, where people can feel comfortable accessing services and support that can be brought in to empower them to create solutions that suit their needs, and give them the space to do it.
Building work is completed with new windows, heating, flooring, lighting, wall insulation, etc. and we now need to furnish the room to make it comfortable and fit for purpose.
